Pretty Girl
Well, when Pretty Girl first showed up, it only took a little while for her to trust me enough to pet her. This went on for days that she would allow me to bend down and pet her but not pick her up. One particularly nasty rainy day, I decided she should go into the farm house to get warm because she was looking a little under the weather. I picked her up and all was well until I got close to the door. Well, this was the closest I have ever been to being bitten by a cat. She was furious. It took weeks for her to even let me pet her again. Well, Pretty Girl looks pregnant and she is tiny and probably very young so what are we going to do....................

ReplyDeletei've tried several times to post today, but have some trouble. i brought Pretty Girl up to my house last night. had some trouble getting her in the carrier. she was frightened. she looks likes she going to have her kittens anytime now. Lisa (see hubblespacepaws) has volunteered to foster our Pretty Girl. she will have the best care, love, safety from lisa (she is so great). Aggie (the young girl i found at the church several weeks ago) had a little son (also see the hubblespacepaws site) to read about her story. she was an amazing little mommy. she would of died to protect her little guy. her little guy has gone to rainbow heaven now. aggie is heartbroken. if Pretty Girl has more than one baby, we are hoping that Aggie will be a mommy again.
ReplyDelete3 young kitties showed up around same time. At my house Dooie (a young yellow tabby boy), at dad's Pretty Girl, and at the church, Aggie. hopefully, if Aggie and Pretty Girl are sisters, they will remember each other and can share some space. like the old song goes "reunited and it feels so good", even if it for a short period of time. My vet sent me a card once that read "Happiness comes in Moments". It was a picture of 3 critters, a cat, a dog and a cat all sitting together. Cute!
by the way, you did a great job on your blog. wow! love all your pictures.... the one of cj, hannah and jantje is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHi Monica!
ReplyDeleteOh, how cool is that! You & Sonia worked as a team to resuce sweet Pretty Girl!
Pretty Girl (aka Peggy Sue... and, yeah, Mr. Holly inspired it... pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty Peggy Sue) is looking like she's getting ready to give birth. She's nesting and pokes around in every little spot she can find. She constantly wants her tummy rubbed. http://hubblespacepaws.blogspot.com/2009/06/meet-peggy-sue-maples-pretty-pregnant.html
Now I need to get on back and update the blog!! :-)
Thanks again for stopping by with comforting words when #1 Son passed away!
I agree with Sonia, love the blog!
Lisa
