Kittens at one week one day...

I once again double uploaded the same picture again. Oh well, hopefully I will get better at this once the kittens are a little older. It doesn't help that it is 11:30pm and I am exhausted but I could wait to post these.

Happy 1st week Kitty Update!

We didn't think it was possible but one of Abagail's Angels have already opened their eyes! Yesterday Hannah noticed that one of the kittens had just a little hint of eye opening and low and behold today on the one week old birthday we have a kitten with open eyes. We immediately did a little online research and learned 8 to 10 days is about normal so we have a slightly early eye opener. We were surprised to learn that shorthaired cats eyes open earlier than longhaired cats. AND Hannah was excited that our early bird also has started to play and roll over for a belly stratch and in the process was playfully biting his own paw!!!! Happy One Week Birthday the Abagail's Angels.

I think I have 2 of the same kitten....

I think I posted one of the kittens twice and missed one. I will have to look closer tomorrow and figure out which one I missed. Oops..sorry.

Hannah and Meghan (Hannah's bestest friend!) wrote a kitten song!!

Okay, this is too too adorable....Hannah and her best friend since 4th grade wrote a kitten song (they love music and kittens so go figure...).They actually sit with the kittens and sing this to them. It is so cute and I wanted to record it but they wouldn't let me......YET.....I haven't given up on that.

Life as a Kitten

I was born on a Wednesday morning
In the middle of July
I'm a lil Baby Kitten
and sometimes I like to cry

I like to drink from my Momma
and stretch and yawn all the time
I spend most my time sleeping

Birth Day!

Well, yesterday was a big day. Abigail, the cat that Hannah is fostering, became the proud mother of six kittens...yes I did say six!!!! They all seem to be healthy and all are very similar in color. I think we are going to have a difficult time telling them apart for a while.

Hannah was asked to foster one of the "unexpected arrivals" at my sister's farm. (Sonia's World). Abigail will be arriving today ready to deliver a new litter at any moment. Hannah has so much love to give and Abigail needs so much love so it will be a perfect match. I am a little nervous but she, in true Hannah style, will give it all of her beautiful heart and how can that not be good? As much as she has had her heart broken she is always willing to put all of her heart out there into helping the loves of her life...animals. I just love her soooo much!!!
