Kitten Update
Hi Everyone,
I have been so busy with getting ready for my new job and the kids ready for school I have not been able to update as often as I want. Although I am lacking in time we certainly are not lacking in excitement with the kittens. Today was a huge milestone. Two of the kittens have finally decided to eat kitten food. After almost 2 weeks of trying to introduce them to solid food, "Bunny" and "Baby" suddenly and very enthusiastically started eating canned kitten food today. I was with the kittens and Hannah earlier and Hannah and I were putting little bits on their lips and they were again acting as though we were insulting them with messing up their cute little kitten faces. So later I was downstairs helping my youngest son with summer reading reports on his last day of summer vacation (he had all summer to do!) and I heard a scream from upstairs and I ran up thinking "oh God what's wrong" and I barreled into the "Cat Room" and Hannah is sitting on the floor smiling ear to ear and pointing to "Bunny". She was gulping this kitten food like no tomorrow! Well, book reports on hold cause we all just sat and stared at the amazing fury in which this kitty was devouring this food. Then low and behold..."Baby" was over at Mommy's dish licking away at what she left behind and then we added the baby food and she went to town. Long story short it is 8:30 pm and book reports are just being printed and I just had to get this update on. Tomorrow is first day of school for my son and Hannah starts next week so I will be updating as much as time allows. But rest assured the kittens are growing and playing and are sooooo much fun. I can't wait to post the adorable pictures....hopefully tomorrow.

Kitty update
Hi Everyone,
I am so happy to see you all popping in from The Adventures of Space Paws. It warms my heart to see all of the positive comments and hope you find Abigail's Angels as adorable as we do.
We went from a bundle of six kittens who stayed almost where you leave them to a scattered bunch of playful, happy, curious little kittens in a matter of days. I am amazed at their ability to do so much more in such a short time.
We have known for sometime that Abigail had ear mites but the medication we purchased said not to use on pregnant or nursing cats. We were waiting it out but then we think the kittens must have acquired them too from momma. Over the weekend Sonia went to the vet and got stuff that can be used on Abigail and the kittens. We were able to treat all of them even though they are still tiny. They seemed very upset with the first doses but we are on day three and they don't seem at all upset anymore. They take off running when we are finished giving their drops and just resume playing. Yay!!!
A Little on each of their personalities so far.......
Big Girl (who by the way has been caught up in the weight department by Cheeks) is the intellectual. She seems to think everything out and loves dark spots like under the bookshelves or in corners. She has discovered the basket we keep all of the toys in and loves to sit in it and play with the little jingly balls by herself. She plays with the others but will be the first to say "Enough!" and go into her little "boat" to rest.
Baby (who is Big Girls BBF) has really come out of the kinks. She had me worried. She is still 3 oz. smaller than Big Girl but is playing and exploring like the rest now. She also loves to cuddle by herself and play with her paws until she falls asleep.
Cheeks is an explorer and loves to wrestle with any of his litter mates that happen to get close enough for the "take down". She is very active and one of the last to fall asleep.
Bunny is the first to jump in Hannah's lap and try to get "all" of the attention. She literally "hops" over any obstacles. Hannah came up with the name Bunny BEFORE we knew she had this amazing ability.:)
Baby Boy...well what can I say? He is surrounded by females. He is very playful but also laid back and observant. He and Cheeks love to wrestle each other.
Fluff she is definitely a long haired kitty and very beautiful. When she first started walking and running around the room she had trouble with the hardwood floors and would slide backward. We couldn't help but laugh but she now has mastered them running full speed ahead. She, like all of the kittens, run toward us as soon as we walk into their room and immediately let us know...IT IS PLAYTIME!!

Kitten Update
The kittens are 3 weeks and 2 days old today and we can hardly believe how much more they do in just a days time. We finally decided it was time to let them have the "run" (and I do mean run) of the whole room now. We thought it would be a gradual thing but the kittens had something else in mind. They have explored so far only half of the room. We are thinking because momma Abigail rounds them up when they get too far.We think it is only a matter of time (hours maybe days) that she won't be able to see all six of them going in different directions. Right now when she feels they are getting a little too far from her, she will let out a little half purr half meow (Cat talk for "Get your little behinds back here!") and they come running back. But they are surely testing the "waters" so to speak.

Kitten Update
I am repeating some of this from my comments to Lisa but just in case others don't read the comments....here is a quick update on Abigail's Angels.
They are growing and really getting active and we knew the "box in the corner" was not going to contain these little ones for much longer. Just so happens, I happened upon a sidewalk sale at a pet store on Friday and they were selling a "cat house/crate" type thing that is tall and has several levels. I purchased it and have moved the family in till they get old enough to roam their room. Abigail did not seem pleased at first and did not want to go into the new "home" but we are able to keep the doors open and have put the "box" into the new home till she felt comfortable enough and till we know they can't escape. They seem so tiny to be so curious but as soon as their eyes opened they obviously decided "there is a big world out there" and they are determined to see it. When Lisa came to visit we talked about the difference in sizes of the kittens. Four of them seem to be about the same size and then we have our "little runt" and our "big girl". Little "runt" is quite a bit smaller and seems to be our noisy one and "big girl" is significantly bigger and is really quiet and less active than the others. What is curious is that the two of them seem to have teamed up so to speak. They always cuddle together and seek each other out when they aren't nursing. When it comes to nursing it's every one for them selves and seems to be to a constant struggle and tug of war until they each settle in and eventually fall asleep. Well, I just realised this was suppose to be a "quick" update and I just keep on going so I will end for now but rest assured there is no end to the cuteness and smiles when we are with our Angels.
